How to Share Your Link

Step 1 — Get your link (free)

1. Go to Share the Vision and enter your email address.
2. Check your email and click the sign-in link we send you. No password to remember — ever.
3. Your personal link appears at the top of your page. Press the Copy link button.

No donation is required to have a link. It's yours simply for being part of this community.

Step 2 — Share it on Facebook

1. Open Facebook and tap “What's on your mind?”
2. Press and hold in the empty box, then tap Paste — your link appears.
3. Add one sentence from your heart above it. For example: “I give in memory of my mother, who taught Sunday school for 40 years. Join me in caring for Christian elders like her.”
4. Tap Post. Your friends will see it — and any gift given through your link becomes part of your ripple.

Easier still: the Share Helper on your dashboard will draft the message for you — you just review it and press share.

Step 3 — Text it to a friend

1. Open your phone's Messages app.
2. Choose one friend who loved someone worth honoring.
3. Press and hold in the message box, tap Paste, and add a personal word: “Thought of you — this ministry honors folks like your dad.”
4. Send. A text from a friend is always read.

A personal text from you to a friend is simply friendship — share freely, one heart at a time. (Group blasts and pressure aren't our way; one warm invitation is a witness.)

Step 4 — Instagram

On Instagram, a link typed into a caption cannot be tapped. That's not a mistake you made — it's how Instagram works. So we do two things instead: put the link in your bio, and put a scannable code right on the picture.

Put your link in your bio (do this once)

1. Open your Instagram profile and tap Edit profile.
2. Tap Links, then Add external link.
3. Paste your short link and, for the title, put something like “Care for Christian elders.”
4. Save. Now “link in bio” in your captions actually means something.

Post the square card

1. On your Share Kit, press Save image under the Square card.
2. In Instagram, tap +, choose that picture from your photos, and post it.
3. Use one of the Instagram captions from your Share Kit — they already say “link in my bio.”

Stories: use the link sticker

1. Save the Story card, then add it to a new Story.
2. Tap the sticker button (the square smiley face) and choose Link.
3. Paste your short link, then place the sticker somewhere it doesn't cover the code.

Even if someone never taps anything, the code on the picture still works — they can point their camera at the screen.

Step 5 — TikTok

TikTok captions can't be tapped either. The video does the work: it holds your code still on the screen for eight seconds so anyone watching can scan it — or pause and screenshot it for later.

1. Open the video maker and press Create my 15-second video. It takes fifteen seconds — just leave the page open.
2. Press Download video (or Share on a phone) to save it to your photos.
3. In TikTok, tap +, choose Upload, and pick the video.
4. Add a TikTok caption from your Share Kit, and say out loud or in text: “Pause it and scan the code.”
5. Put your short link in your TikTok bio too — tap Edit profile, then Website.

Record your own short selfie first if you'd like, then post the generated video right after it — there are three ready-made fifteen-second scripts in the Share Kit notes.

How to scan a code from a screenshot

This is the tip most people don't know — and it's worth passing along. If you see a code in a video or a post, you don't need a second phone. Take a screenshot, then:

Or simply type the short link into your browser by hand — it's short on purpose.

Print it for your church bulletin

The square card prints beautifully at about three inches across — large enough for the code to scan from a folded bulletin, a fellowship-hall poster, or a card on the welcome table.

1. From your Share Kit, press Save image under the Square card — that version carries your personal link.
2. Or use the ministry card if the bulletin shouldn't be tied to one person.
3. Drop the picture into your bulletin document and print as usual. Print it in color if you can; black and white still scans.

What your link does

When someone gives through your link, their gift cares for a Christian elder — and the encouragement is remembered:

• They are credited with 1 impact point for every $1 of their gift.
• You are credited with 1% of their gift in points for welcoming them.
• As they share with their friends, the ripple continues — and your dashboard shows every level of the care your encouragement set in motion.

Points celebrate involvement only — no cash value, no redemption, no transfer, and they expire at death. Every gift is an ordinary tax-deductible charitable donation.
