Gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. We are not tax advisors — please consult your own advisor about your circumstances.

Your receipt

• You will receive an emailed receipt shortly after your gift is processed. It shows our legal name, EIN, the amount, and the date.
• For any single gift of $250 or more, that receipt serves as the contemporaneous written acknowledgment the IRS requires you to keep.
• Unless a receipt states otherwise, it will confirm that no goods or services were provided in exchange for your gift.
• If a receipt does not arrive, check your spam folder, then contact us and we will resend it.

How your gift is used

Unless you designate otherwise in writing and we accept that designation, all gifts are unrestricted — used where the need is greatest to carry out our charitable purpose of providing and funding direct care for Christian elders, and to cover the reasonable costs of operating the ministry.

Gifts cannot be earmarked for a specific individual. Under IRS rules, a gift directed to one named person is not tax-deductible. You are warmly welcome to give in honor of or in memory of someone — that is a tribute, not an earmark, and your gift remains fully deductible.

The board of directors has final authority over the use of all funds, consistent with our charitable purpose.

Monthly gifts — and how to stop them

Monthly gifts continue until you tell us to stop. There is no minimum term and no penalty. You may cancel at any time, for any reason.

• Email us, or call (334) 313-4830, and simply say you would like to stop your monthly gift.
• We will cancel it promptly and confirm in writing. We will not ask you to justify the decision.
• If a gift is charged after you asked us to cancel, we will refund it.

Refunds

Charitable gifts are generally final. That said, we would rather correct a mistake than keep a dollar that was never meant for us. We will refund a gift when:

• it was a duplicate or a clear data-entry error;
• the amount was entered incorrectly;
• it was made without the cardholder's knowledge or authorization;
• a monthly gift was charged after a cancellation request; or
• a donor or family member contacts us within 30 days and asks us in good faith to return it.

Refunds go back to the original payment method. If a receipt was already issued, we will send a corrected one, since a refunded gift is not deductible.

Recognition has no cash value

Memorials, honor pages, and giving circles are recognition only. They carry no cash value, no redeemable value, and no transferable benefit. They cannot be sold, exchanged, or converted to money or services.

We do not pay commissions, finder's fees, or referral rewards of any kind for bringing in gifts. Recognition comes only from a donor's own cumulative giving — never from recruiting others.

Other ways to give

Checks may be made payable to Christian American Healthcare Corporation and mailed to 304 East Pass Road, Andalusia, AL 36420. For major gifts, grants, bequests, or gifts of property, please contact us before giving so we can receipt it correctly.

Anonymity and privacy

We never publish gift amounts. You may ask to remain anonymous in any public recognition. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information — in short, we never sell or rent it.
